Department For Work and Pensions (DWP)

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is responsible for the Government's welfare reform agenda. Its aim is to promote opportunity and independence for all. It delivers support and advice through a modern network of services to people of working age, employers, pensioners, families and children and disabled people.

Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG)

The Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) was created on 5 May 2006 with a powerful remit to promote community cohesion and equality, as well as responsibility for housing, urban regeneration, planning and local government.

Department for Trade and Industry (DTI)

The Department for Trade and Industry (DTI) drives our ambition of 'prosperity for all' by working to create the best environment for business success in the UK. We help people and companies become more productive by promoting enterprise, innovation and creativity.

Home Office

The Home Office is the Government department responsible for internal affairs in England and Wales. We work to build a safe, just and tolerant society, to enhance opportunities for all, and to ensure that the protection and security of the public are maintained and enhanced.

HM Treasury

HM Treasury is the United Kingdom's Economics and Finance ministry. It is responsible for formulating and implementing the Government's financial and economic policy. Its aim is to raise the rate of sustainable growth, and achieve rising prosperity and a better quality of life with economic and employment opportunities for all.

Department for Education and Skills (DFES)

Department for Education and Skills (DFES) Our aim is to give children anexcellent start in education, enable young people to equip themselves with life and work skills, and encourage adults to achieve their full potential through learning.

Commission for Racial Equality

The Commission for Racial Equality (CRE) is a publicly funded, non-governmental body set up under the Race Relations Act 1976 to tackle racial discrimination and promote racial equality. The Commission for Racial Equality works in partnership with individuals and organisations for a fair and just society which values diversity and gives everyone an equal chance to work, learn and live free from discrimination, prejudice, and racism.

Confederation of British Industries

The Confederation Of British Industry (CBI) represents companies from all sectors of UK business: small and large, from manufacturing to retailing, agriculture to construction, hi-tech to finance, transport to consultancy.

The Trade Union Congress (TUC)

The Trade Union Congress (TUC) brings Britain’s unions together to draw up common policies. lobbying the Government to implement policies that will benefit people at work and campaigning on economic and social issues. It represents working people on public bodies, represents British workers in international bodies, in the European Union and at the UN employment body - the International Labour Organisation. The TUC carries out research on employment - related issues and runs an extensive training and education programme for union representatives.
