EMAG have three key aims:
In some sectors of the ethnic minority community, people are three times as likely to be out of work, half of the children from some communities are living in poverty and employers are openly admitting to discriminating against applicants on the basis of ethnicity. These are not indicators of a fair society. It's also bad economics; businesses embracing diversity practices are able to show that they perform better commercially. In terms of demographics the profile of the workforce of the future is going to be ethnically diverse. We need to heighten the expectations of all young people towards achieving higher goals.
